

Hon K. Lee is a Licensed Acupuncturist, an NCCAOM nationally certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, a Doctor of Medical Qigong, and a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He graduated from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, had clinical training at the Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, completed postgraduate studies in Chinese herbal medicine at the TAI Sophia Institute, studied Medical Qigong at the International College of Medical Qigong, and completed a DAOM degree from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine.
Owner of the Sports Edge Acupuncture Clinic, Dr. Lee treats patients using acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional counseling, tuina, and qigong therapy. He is a Spring Forest Qigong Certified Instructor and Qigong Master. He is a co-founder and former Director of the Jow Ga Shaolin Institute, which offers kung fu, taijiquan, and qigong classes. He co-authored “Yang Style Tai Ji Quan: A Beginner’s Guide.” His memoir “Paths Less Travelled of a Scholar Warrior (Spy) Teacher Healer” describes how he developed a passion for Chinese medicine and why his mission in life is to help others.
He specializes in women’s health and infertility. He is an acupuncturist for the Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine and an adjunct professor at the Virginia University of Integrative medicine.
Dr. Lee is a U.S. Marine combat veteran and donates 10 percent or more of the clinic’s net profits, as well as all proceeds from the sale of his memoir, to charities that benefit veterans who suffer from the wounds of war. He is a provider for the Military Stress Recovery Project and the Veterans Administration’s Community Care Program.

Kiyoshi Yamamoto is a Virginia Medical Board and Nationally Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, and an NCBTMB and Virginia Nursing Board Certified Massage Therapist. He graduated from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine with a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He believes the key to overall health comes from balancing body, mind and sprit. He focuses on both the clinical and holistic aspects of the acupuncture and body work. He is skilled in the healing art of massage, using a combination of western and eastern therapeutic techniques.
In addition to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Kiyoshi is expert in a wide variety of massage disciplines, and was a teacher at a local massage school. He offers clients Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Clinical Massage, Sports Massage, Tuina, Shiatsu, Anma, and Thai Massage. Kiyoshi does energy work as a Reiki and Qigong practitioner. Besides providing clients with acupuncture and massage therapy at our Sports Edge Acupuncture clinic, Kiyoshi has a portable massage table and is willing to travel to client’s homes.
Kiyoshi is also a Chinese martial arts instructor at the Jow Ga Shaolin Institute. In 2003, he began training in both Jow Ga Kung Fu and Shaolin Mizong, as well as Yang Style Tai Chi. He currently helps organize martial arts, Lion & Dragon Dance events performed by the Institute throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Tzeyoung is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) certified by the Virginia Board of Medicine. As a practitioner of integrative medicine, Tzeyoung works with each person as a whole rather than a sum of body parts. Healing is a partnership between patient and practitioner, collaborating to improve lifestyle, mindset, as well as physical health.
Tzeyoung obtained a Master of Acupuncture degree at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, and also completed graduate and academic degrees from the University of Chicago, Virginia Tech, and New York University. He brings a wealth of knowledge and life experience to his practice. On the side, Tzeyoung is a jazz musician and a martial artist, although that has all been supplanted by his family and kids.
